How to Approve Pending Goals (Managers)

Approve Goals via Team Goals
Go to Performance > Goals and click on Team Goals.
Next, use the filter option to display Pending Approval goals only for a quicker search.
Expand your direct-reports goals, by clicking on the arrow down button. Once you identify the Pending Approval goal, expand the Goal Options menu.
To review the goals details, select Edit.
To approve the goal directly from the Team Goals page, select Approve.
A confirmation window will appear, select Yes to finish.
Approve Goals via Inbox
Employees can create goals themselves, but you need to approve them before a goal becomes part of an employee’s performance plan. You’ll receive an email when the employee submits the goal for approval.
To approve, cancel, or edit goals set by an employee, start by navigating to Carolina Talent and selecting Performance Home.
Then, locate the Inbox section on the right side of the screen and select Approve Goals.
Before you approve the request, you can review the details of each goal by clicking the Approve/Deny link to the right of the goal.
Click on the Options button and select View History to review the modifications made on the goal.
If needed, make any changes and click the Approve button.
The Pending Goals page will populate to continue reviewing pending goals.
If you don’t have additional goals to approve, the Pending Goals page will be blank, click the Back button to return to the homepage.
The employee receives an email letting them know the goal has been approved. If you deny the goal, the employee will receive an email as well.
